Dorothy Bell Lewis West, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to her Heavenly home June 14, 2017.
She was 88 years young and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Mrs. West was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Jennings and Mamie Allen Lewis, brothers, Robert Earl, Clyde (Bub), and Hartford Lewis, and sisters Mamie Ruth Lewis and Linda Fuston. She was also preceded in death by brothers-in-law Danny Lattimore, Jack Boyd, and Perry Elrod.
Mrs. West is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Earl M. West, and their children, Carol Goedde, Donna Simpson and her husband Dave, Steve West and his wife Winnie, Michael West, Roger West and his wife Karol all of Murfreesboro, TN; her three granddaughters, Callie Barrett and her husband Kendall, Megan Pemberton and her husband Matt, of Murfreesboro, TN and Kristin Davis and her husband Eric of Wartrace, TN, as well as her four great-grandsons, Connor and Collin Barrett of Murfreesboro, TN, and Isaac and Aaron Davis of Wartrace, TN; sisters, Betty Lattimore of Liberty, TN and Annette Elrod of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters-in-law, June Lewis of Lebanon, TN, Julia Mae Lewis of Murfreesboro, TN and Lucille Lewis of Alexandria, TN, and brother-in-law, Bob Earl Fuston of Smithville, TN, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Funeral service will be 9 a.m. Saturday June 17, 2017 at Immanuel Baptist Church, with Rev. Dave Brown and Rev. Nathan Hale officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with nephew Mark Lewis, son-in-law Dave Simpson, grandsons-in-law Kendall Barrett, Eric Davis, and Matt Pemberton, and special friend Prince Albert serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are her four great-grandsons that she loved so well.
